ForcesUnited has named Victoria Hann the new president and CEO. Hann has been serving in the role in an interim capacity since April. She was offered the position after an executive search committee performed an extensive search and interview process.
“The board of directors is thrilled to have Victoria join the ForcesUnited team,” said Gemma Frock, the board chairwoman. “We’re confident in her abilities to lead and are equally excited about the plans for the organization under her leadership.”
Hann is the managing director of VGC Green Development. She has more than 23 years’ experience in senior and management roles with nonprofit organizations, from newly created nonprofits to strategically renewed organizations with revived missions.
“We have a strong internal team who continues to focus their talents in providing dignity and assistance to our transitioning warriors, veterans and their families in a landscape of uncertainty,” Hann said. “I’m honored by the trust instilled in me by the board of directors, staff and community by this appointment. My focus will be to maintain vitality, consistency and sustainability to a mission started by citizen leadership to support and ensure the best possible quality of life is achieved. With that said, collaborative community partners are needed more than ever.”
Hann’s experience includes working with local, national and international nonprofit and for-profit organizations serving the healthcare, education and economic development fields.
She holds a graduate degree in public administration focused on nonprofit management from Clemson University. She is a CFRE International Certified Fund Raising Executive and teaches part-time for Clemson’s MPA graduate program. She resides in North Augusta with her sons, Grayson (a budding Marine and USC freshman) and Chase, a junior in high school. Hann’s father was a proud veteran of the Air Force and served in the Korean War.
